Canilex General Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose
These terms govern access to and use of the digital services offered under the Canilex brand.
Canilex is an ecosystem of applications and services dedicated to the canine world.

3. Canilex Account
A Canilex account may be used across several applications of the ecosystem.
Certain data, preferences, consents and purchases may be shared between applications in order to ensure the consistency of the services.
The user is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential.
4. Authorised use
The user undertakes to:
- comply with applicable laws;
- provide accurate information;
- not disrupt the operation of the services;
- not attempt to access unauthorised data.
The following are prohibited in particular:
- reverse engineering;
- automated data extraction;
- scraping;
- reselling the content;
- creating services competing with Canilex content;
- distributing unlawful content.
5. Availability
Canilex implements reasonable means to ensure the availability of the services.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- technical incidents;
- force majeure;
- security requirements.
6. Evolution and discontinuation of services
Canilex may modify, suspend, limit or discontinue all or part of a service, application or feature, temporarily or permanently.
Where reasonably possible, users are informed in advance of the permanent discontinuation of a service.
No guarantee is given as to the maintenance of a service for a specified period.
Canilex cannot be held liable for the discontinuation of a service resulting in particular from technical, economic, regulatory or security constraints.
7. Intellectual property
All elements making up the Canilex services remain the exclusive property of their respective owners.
No transfer of intellectual property is made to the user.
A personal, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable licence is granted for the normal use of the services.
8. Paid services
Certain features may be subject to payment.
The applicable prices are displayed before any purchase is confirmed.
Purchases may be made in particular through:
- Apple App Store;
- Google Play;
- Stripe;
- RevenueCat.
For digital content supplied immediately after purchase, the consumer is in principle entitled to a fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal.
In accordance with Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, this right is lost where, before performance begins, the consumer has expressly consented to performance starting immediately and has acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal. This express prior consent is collected at the time the purchase is confirmed.
Any refunds remain subject to the policies of the relevant distributor.
9. Liability
The Canilex services are provided for informational and assistance purposes.
Canilex does not guarantee:
- the complete absence of errors;
- permanent availability;
- suitability for a particular purpose.
Canilex's liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Personal data
Data processing is described in the Canilex Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
Canilex may suspend or delete access in the event of:
- fraudulent use;
- breach of these terms;
- risk to the security of the service;
- a legal obligation.
12. Account deletion
The user may request the deletion of their account at any time.
Deletion results in the immediate deactivation of the account.
Certain data may be retained for as long as necessary for:
- compliance with legal obligations;
- fraud prevention;
- the resolution of any disputes.
Deleting the account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play.
The user remains responsible for managing their subscriptions with the relevant platform.
13. Changes to legal documents
Canilex legal documents are versioned.
Where a new acceptance is required, the user must accept the new versions before continuing to use the relevant service.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law.
Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Hainaut, Tournai division.
